St. Olaf welcomes the Class of 2027
This fall St. Olaf welcomed the Class of 2027, an exceptional group of 826 first-year students and 31 transfer students.
“I’m proud to welcome one the most academically talented and diverse classes in the college’s history to the Hill,” says Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Chris George ’94. “Whether you are coming from two miles away or 9,000 miles away, you are drawn to join this community of doers and dynamos seeking to make an impact on the world. I can’t wait to see what the next four years — as well as the next 40 years — hold in store for you.”
The newest members of the St. Olaf community hail from 466 high schools and 29 colleges in 43 states and 50 countries. More than one in five are the first members of their family to attend college, and the class includes 24 percent domestic students of color and 8 percent international students.

During move-in weekend, these Oles and their families attended a special St. Olaf welcome ceremony featuring introductions and remarks from college leaders.
In their first week on campus, these newest Oles also participated in a wide variety of orientation activities, got to know new friends and faculty members, met new St. Olaf College President Susan Rundell Singer while signing their name in the college book, and joined the campus community for Opening Convocation.
Welcome, Class of 2027!
