O Joy, O Bliss, O Rapture!: An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan
Our production planning is in progress and we welcome YOU to audition! We are looking for singers, actors (non-singing roles of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan), instrumentalists, dancers, film and media artists and technicians, choreographers, set designers, conductors and stage directors. We will produce a fully staged, and costumed production of scenes from Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, including choreographed dance, solos, duets, small ensembles and full choruses.

Thursday, September 15, 6:30-9:30 p.m. (CHM 233)
Sign up on this google spreadsheet. If you have any questions or cannot find an audition time that works into your schedule, EMAIL Profs. Kruse and Wilkerson, and they will help you find an alternative time.
PREPARE IN ADVANCE:
1) One song or aria in English 2½ to 3 minutes in length that can be from music theater, artsong, or opera.
2) One monologue (does NOT need to be memorized) from the Gilbert and Sullivan excerpts.
TECH/PIT/PRODUCTION CREW:

PERFORMANCE:
December 10, 8:00 p.m., Urness Recital Hall
Dress/tech rehearsals: December 9, 7:00-10:30 p.m. and December 10, 4:00-6:00 p.m.
REHEARSALS – You will be asked to provide us with your availability for the following rehearsal times:
Sunday afternoons 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Tuesdays at 11:45 a.m.-1:10 p.m.
Thursdays 12:40-2:05 p.m.
We will work with your schedule as much as possible.
Pit orchestra rehearsals will be scheduled around players’ availability as a group.
