Parking at St. Olaf

The parking policy is administered by Public Safety, located in Tomson Hall 010.  Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to or 507-786-2972, or by contacting the Business Office (134 Tomson Hall).

St. Olaf College is a residential campus where student and employee parking is regulated and pedestrians are given the right-of-way on campus by all operators of motor vehicles. All student and employee vehicles must display a current parking permit to park on campus. Campus parking areas are designated by the type of permit issued by Public Safety and restricted to assigned areas.

Visitors to St. Olaf should park only in areas designated as” Visitor Only” or “Faculty/Staff/Visitor”. Visitors who intend to park on campus overnight or for more than one day should obtain a visitor parking permit from Public Safety.

Note: Visitors do not pay for parking at St. Olaf. If you are a visitor and received a citation, please send an email to with your citation number and license plate number so we can update our records.
