Ellie Krug will be at St. Olaf on November 17th.

Ellie Krug, a transgender activist, will come back to St. Olaf’s campus for the second year in a row. At 4:00 PM on 11/19 in the Valhalla Dining Room, Ellie will give her professional training, “Gray Area Thinking”, a popular diversity and inclusion presentation that provides a toolset for how to interact with others who are “different” from “us“ through awareness of another human’s vulnerability or suffering, risk-taking to alleviate or lessen that vulnerability or suffering, and compassion and kindness both for others and for one’s self.

At 5:30, students are invited to join Ellie for dinner and discussion before her second talk. At 7:00 PM, Ellie will host an open discussion about the 2024 election and its effect on the lives of trans people.

This event is hosted by C.A.S.E. and sponsored by SGA, the Wellness Center, the Lavender House, and Queer Ole Individuals.
