On March 12th, SGA’s Global Impact organized an evening dedicated to International Women’s Day, titled: “Uncensored! Wxmen, Power & Resistance”. The aim of this event was to celebrate womanhood and facilitate conversations about what that meant for individuals. It was an interesting gathering in an incredibly cosy environment, where people shared their personal experiences, stories, and reflections. Some shared poems and talked about their personal journeys with gender & identity, while others discussed inspiring stories of the women in their families. Nearing the end of the event, there was a discussion based on the questions that SGA received on the question form, and everybody participated— adding different perspectives and thought-provoking points of view to the conversation. Last but certainly not least, we ended the night with some delicious Pause cookies!
