• Completion of Japanese 232 with a grade of A- or better, placement above JPN 232, or native language ability
• Ability to work with minimal supervision & maintain confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills and strong Japanese language skills
• Punctuality in providing complete and timely feedback to students and arriving on time for meetings
• Enthusiasm for promoting and teaching Japanese
