All current St. Olaf students will have access to the following services via the TimelyCare app or through your web browser:

• Medical Care
  • MedicalNow (24/7/365, on-demand, and scheduled medical care with licensed providers)
  • Scheduled Medical (choose the time and date to meet with a licensed medical provider, unlimited)
• Mental Health Care
  • TalkNow (24/7/365 to access emotional health support with expert counselors on-demand)
  • Scheduled Counseling (choose the time and date to meet with a licensed counselor, 12 visits per academic year max, academic year begins August and ends in July of the next year)
• Health Coaching (unlimited virtual visits with health coaches)
• Psychiatric Care (referral from Counseling Center required to utilize this service)

Incoming students have access to TimelyCare as soon as their email address is activated. Graduating students lose access to TimelyCare when their accounts expire (ie. Class of 2021 will lose access on September 20, 2021). If a student is taking time off, connect with your class dean about your access to TimelyCare.

For all Scheduled Counseling and Medical Visits, the patient may cancel up to 24 hours prior to the time of the visit. Within 24 hours of the visit time, it will be considered a no-show of a live visit and will count against the student’s allotted number of visits for the year. Students have 12 Scheduled Counseling visits allotted per academic year. The cost of scheduled counseling is $79 after the first 12 visits

TalkNow is the only TimelyCare service available and allowed for use outside the U.S. TalkNow offers unlimited 24/7/365, on-demand triage mental health support, coaching services, and crisis management by behavioral and health professionals.

Students must download the TimelyCare app and create their account registration, prior to travel outside the U.S. Visit timelycare.com/stolaf to download the app or app stores search “TimelyCare”.

Depending on the students’ location, they may have to use a U.S. VPN or have a stable internet/wifi connection. It is recommended that students download the St. Olaf VPN prior to travel outside the U.S. Student can also call 833-484-6359 from a U.S. phone number to access TalkNow on TimelyCare.

All TimelyCare services are available in the U.S. including Hawaii. Puerto Rico has Scheduled Counseling, TalkNow, and Health Coaching (no Medical services).

No, these services are FREE to all current St. Olaf students. TimelyCare does not bill insurance for any of the services provided.

Students have 12 Scheduled Counseling visits allotted per academic year. The cost of scheduled counseling is $79 after the first 12 visits.

TimelyCare is only available through their app or through your web browser. Students do need a phone number to access the services, SIM Cards for the U.S. are available at the Taylor Center front desk, to use the services:

1. APP: Search “TimelyCare” (no spaces) in your App Store or Google Play, from any mobile device and download the app.
2. Web Browser: On the timelycare.com/stolaf website, click the “Sign In” tab at the top right.
3. For both: register using your name and email that matches your St. Olaf information on file for you. This includes:
   • Preferred First Name (without any accents, umlauts, or other diacritics)
   • Last Name
   • Date of Birth
   • St. Olaf Email Address

NOTE: If you do not see the St. Olaf logo once you’ve signed in and/or you are being asked to pay for a visit, please immediately reach out to TimelyMD customer support at 833-484-6359.

If you are a TimelyCare patient, your visit records will be saved as part of your medical records.

Will my information be shared with St. Olaf staff or providers?

Services are confidential like other Counseling Center and Health Services offered at St. Olaf. If the practitioner is concerned about your safety, they will reach out to St. Olaf Public Safety, Residential Life, or Dean of Students to assist in keeping a student safe and follow up with a licensed clinician at St. Olaf. A clinical staff member at the Counseling Center will be notified for follow-up in cases of hospitalization. You can also request that your TimelyCare provider share information with your St. Olaf provider.

Do I have access to records of my visit(s)?

Yes. You can access your visit records at any time through your TimelyCare account.

Will my information be shared with outside medical staff?

If you want to share your records with a physician outside of TimelyCare, you can print or email your records, or call 833-484-6359 to have us send a copy of your records to your provider. Parents/guardians and families DO NOT have access to TimelyCare’s private medical or mental health patient records.

Is my personal information safe?

All the information you provide is encrypted and protected. TimelyMD Terms of Service gives more information on how we protect the personal information provided through our website.
