St. Olaf College | Title IX

St. Olaf sexual misconduct reports

The Working Group is committed to operating transparently, and in this spirit we are sharing St. Olaf’s sexual misconduct data reflecting complaints over the past three years. While the Minnesota law will require annual reporting for the previous calendar year, the Working Group requested the public presentation of three years of data.

The level of reporting outlined below reflects the categories that Minnesota’s higher education institutions must report on an annual basis beginning in October 2016.

The information provided below is reflected by academic years (AY) that are defined as September 1–August 31 for the previous three years.

The Minnesota Office of Higher Education has not yet offered a definition of “disciplinary proceeding.” For purposes of this report, we are assuming that St. Olaf’s process of investigation and adjudication is a “disciplinary proceeding,” which means that all investigated cases have by definition been “referred for a disciplinary proceeding.”
