Just-in-Time Grants
The Center for Innovation in the Liberal Arts is pleased to be able to offer a limited number of small grants (maximum amount is $500) to support a variety of teaching and learning projects. We have termed these Just-in-Time Grants because we intend them to be awarded quickly, without a lengthy application and approval process. Grants to support expenses not easily funded from other sources will receive priority.
Just-in-Time Grants are intended to help with expenses; they are not available as stipends. Faculty members needing resources for a scholarship of teaching and learning project, such as software, books, or other materials, are encouraged to apply. Just-in-Time Grants are also available to help with the expenses of attending a teaching related conference. Interested faculty members should contact the CILA director for further information.
Procedures
- Contact the CILA Director to discuss your interest in a Just-in-Time Grant.
- Submit a brief (not more than one page) proposal describing your project and the specific expenses you would like to have supported.
- Following completion of the project, submit a brief report that includes:
- An explanation of how you used the grant.
- A brief assesment of how your use of the grant contributed to your teaching at St. Olaf.
- Receipts for all expenses incurred.
