Welcome to St. Olaf!
If you are a prospective international student, please visit Admissions for information on applying as an international student.
The International Student Life (ISL) office offers assistance to international students – those who are required to have a visa in order to study in the U.S. (F-1, J-1). These include degree-seeking students, non-degree-seeking exchange students, and language house assistants. The ISL office through the International Student Coordinator (ISC) seeks to educate, counsel and advise international students on academic, personal, and career issues. In addition to those students who need a visa to study in the U.S., the ISC also works with American Third Culture Kids or Global Nomads.
We contribute to the international integration of campus through planning programs such as International Student Orientation, International Night, Friendship Family Program, International Education Week, International Student Picnic, End of the Year International Student Banquet, etc. The ISL office can also refer students to the proper departments and offices where with tax preparation and work authorization sessions (CPT & OPT).
