The college search process can be overwhelming! There are thousands of colleges and universities out there, and a lot of emphasis on finding the perfect fit. We’re here to help break down the college search process for you, no matter where you end up.
Explore our College Search 101 YouTube series to get insight into the variety of questions that arise during your search, such as Where do I begin? How do I know if a college is right for me? How can I choose a college my family and I can afford?
From creating your list of colleges to digging into each part of the application, our admissions experts Shannon Cron and Jordan Castillo share their advice and tips gleaned from years of experience in the college admissions world.
Where to start? Here are a few pieces of advice from our admissions experts:
- Reach out to us! Get to know your Admissions Officer at the schools on your list.
- Explore a variety of colleges and universities and ask yourself some questions to help determine where to start: What size college calls to you? What is the community like? Where is it located?
- Explore college websites – they are always the best source of information
- Visit visit visit. On campus is always the best way to get a sense for the fit of a college. You can also seek out virtual interviews or information sessions as available, and if possible, connect with the college representative during high school visits and college fairs in your area!
- We want to get to know you – ask all of your questions. Whether you’re the first in your family to attend college or not, everyone’s college search process is different. Let us help you!
