The Rev. Dr. Karen L. Soli recently retired from parish pastoring and other related church service in Minnesota and South Dakota. In 2012 she was elected to serve in the South Dakota House of Representatives and this fall was re-elected to a second term. She also continues to work as a Stewardship Key Leader for the ELCA and is an adjunct professor of preaching at Sioux Falls Seminary. She and her husband, The Rev. Dr. Joseph Holt, a retired Presbyterian minister, live in Sioux Falls, S.D., and are parents of five children and grandparents of three, soon to be four, grandchildren.
