Karissa Swanson is teaching K-6 Music at Edgewater Elementary School, which is a public Title 1 school in JeffCO school District, Colo. She’s excited to also be the coordinator for a teacher workgroup focused on the integration of technology in the music classroom. In addition, she’s collaborating with Denver’s Playground Ensemble for the third consecutive year on a project called Young Composers, in which students work with artists-in-residence to compose music for a chamber ensemble.
