The American Conversations Program

The American Conversations Program provides an excellent beginning for a major in American Studies.  In fact, a completed AmCon fulfills some of the requirements of an American Studies major.

Here are the guidelines:

1. A completed American Conversations Program (AmCon 101, 102, 201, and 202) counts as three courses in the American Studies major.
2. AmCon 101 and 102 together can count as AMST 100, Perspectives on American Culture.
3. AmCon 201 and 202 together can count as the level two topics course requirement for American Studies. Majors are of course welcome to take additional level two topic courses in American Studies.
4. A completed American Conversations program counts as work in one of the three departments/disciplines required for an American Studies major.
