The biomolecular science course (BMolS 201: Explorations in Biomolecular Science), is a quarter credit course devoted to a broad study of the field of biomolecular science through the reading and discussion of primary and secondary literature across the field. Biomolecular faculty members take turns leading discussions of a paper in a field related to their own interests. Through exploration of the breadth of the field, students can identify the areas of their principal interest and plan their future course registrations. While required of all biomolecular concentrators, this course is open to all interested students. This course is graded only on a Pass/No Credit basis. Since the course is exploratory in nature, we encourage first and second year students to register. The only prerequisites are the completion of either Biology 150, Chemistry 125, or the integrated sequence course Chem/Bio 125. BmolS 201 is offered in the spring semester.
