Faculty Guest Recital: Windworks Woodwind Quintet 25th Anniversary Recital

This Chamber Recital celebrates the 25th anniversary of Windworks Woodwind Quintet, made up of St. Olaf Faculty and Alumni: Kay Sahlin, flute; Dana Maeda, oboe; JoAnn Polley, clarinet; Cindy Bailey, bassoon; Becky Jyrkas, horn. This recital will feature their first piece performed during their time at the 1993 St. Olaf Music Camp, Three Shanties by Malcolm Arnold. This event is free and open to the public.

Anna Clift is passionate about teaching and educating young cellists. Currently on the faculty of St. Olaf College where she has a large studio of young cellists, she is one of the most influential and consulted cello teachers in the Twin Cities. She acts as mentor to many young cellists around the country. Guest Recital: Jenna McBride Harris ’07, horn and SixtyThreeFeet

Jenna McBride Harris '07 is an active performer in the Twin Cities area and a founding member of two chamber ensembles, the North Star Winds, and SixtyThreeFeet, a horn trio with hornists Allison Akins and Mike Alexander. She will be performing solo works and chamber works with her trio, SixtyThreeFeet. Jenna will conduct a horn masterclass on Monday, October 8th in Christiansen 140.
