Intended Learning Outcomes
Students will demonstrate:
- intermediate-level (or higher) competence in translating ancient Greek or Latin.
- basic knowledge (equivalent to the knowledge obtained in a Level I course) of ancient Greek and Roman history and literature, supplemented by basic knowledge in other areas of study (e.g., art, philosophy, political science, religion) concerned with ancient Greece or Rome.
- in-depth knowledge (equivalent to the knowledge expected in a Level III course) of at least one subject area within the major.
