Intended Learning Outcomes
A student who completes the SOC Nursing Program will be able to:
ILO 1: Synthesize knowledge from nursing and the liberal arts to inform clinical judgment and professional practice;
ILO 2: Provide holistic person-centered care within multiple contexts to diverse individuals, families, populations and communities to promote, maintain and restore health;
ILO 3: Advocate for population health-based solutions to address health inequity;
ILO 4: Integrate the scholarship of nursing to improve health and transform care;
ILO 5: Integrate principles of safety and quality improvement science to minimize risk of harm and enhance system effectiveness;
ILO 6: Demonstrate effective communication and intentional collaboration with patients and interprofessional team members;
ILO 7: Develop the role of the professional nurse within complex systems across the continuum of healthcare to coordinate resources and assure equity;
ILO 8: Demonstrate effective use of informatics and healthcare technologies and in providing safe, quality care;
ILO 9: Demonstrate a professional nursing identity consistent with nursing’s values and characteristics;
ILO 10: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal, professional and leadership development in pursuit of a meaningful vocation
