Areas of Emphasis
The Economics Department offers four optional areas of emphasis within the major: International Economic Analysis and Policy, Finance, and Management. There are two economics area: international economic analysis and policy and law and public policy; and two management areas: management and finance. Students may be certified in no more than one economics and one management studies area of emphasis. Each area of emphasis involves taking several courses in addition to those required by the major. Students wishing to complete an area of emphasis should see the contracts/checklists below and discuss their plans with the area directors listed below or with another faculty member of the Economics Department.
