Reserved Seats at Registration
Information for reserving a seat for the next semester’s economics courses is sent out each semester in the weeks before registration.
Economics reserved seating requests are transmitted by online Google Form. A link to the form will be sent to all students who are seniors and are declared Economics majors, at least a day before reserved seating begins. Those students will be allowed to reserve seats in up to two Economics classes.
Juniors, who are declared Economics majors, will also be allowed to reserve seats in up to two core Economics courses during this period. Core courses are ECON 260, 261, and 262. These juniors will be sent a link to a reserved seating request form at least a day before reserved seating begins.
Please contact the Economics AAA (economics) if you have questions about reserved seats.
Registration Tips
Senior and rising senior economics majors:
Request seats for your Level II and III economic analysis classes. This is especially recommended if you need a class to complete your major. Enrollment limits in Level III classes are strictly adhered to and many courses fill before web registration opens. Reserved seating will be done through Google Forms. You will receive an email with instructions and links.
Juniors and rising junior economics majors:
Request seats for your core courses: ECON 260, 261, and 262. You must complete the core courses prior to your senior year or you will not be able to complete your Level III economic analysis courses. You will receive an email with instructions and links.
Non-major seniors:
If you need an upper-level economics course to complete your major (for example, in Environmental Studies or CIS), please stop by the Economics office (Holland Hall 317) and speak with the department’s administrative assistant for information on reserved seats.
