In certain circumstances, a faculty member may be accorded a leave of absence as an accommodation to a disability as that term is defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Minnesota Human Rights Act. The college may, at its own discretion and expense, require a medical opinion (or second opinion) regarding the employee’s ability to perform and need for leave. Leave under this section may, where appropriate, be longer than, or in addition to, leave taken under any other leave policy of the college.
