Faculty will be paid for a reasonable number of personal absences due to their own illness or injury and for absences due to the illness or injury of their dependent child. Faculty may be asked to present verification of the medical reasons for their absence(s). Sick pay may also be used for medical or human services appointments when necessary.
If an illness or injury requires a prolonged absence, the faculty member should request a leave under the Medical Leave policy.
