Worker’s Compensation Insurance

[Faculty Handbook Category #1]

The Minnesota Worker’s Compensation Act provides for certain benefits for employees who are injured on the job or who sustain an occupational disease. Worker’s compensation benefits include medical care, wage loss benefits, vocational rehabilitation benefits, and other benefits. If the claim is accepted, partial wage loss benefits are paid after an employee misses three or more days of work due to a work-related injury or occupational disease.
