The Taylor Center for Equity and Inclusion is excited to support the development of students on their gender and sexuality self authorship journeys as members of St. Olaf College. Each member of our College Community deserves respect and human dignity in how we acknowledge and treat each other.

St. Olaf College supports and affirms a healthy gender identity and gender expression campus culture. Pronouns and preferred name usage are welcomed and supported and can be seen in college programs and services.

Grose Lecture Series

The Grose Lecture is the TC signature LGBTQIA+ event annually which focuses on LGBTQIA+ public policy and brings to campus a noted and outstanding LGBTQIA+ individual to give a keynote address during LGBTQIIA+ History month in October.

Out for Lunch Series

Out For Lunch is a monthly event series which is focused on amplifying LGBTQIA+ culture in society and the intersections which members of the community hold and value in their daily lives. A vibrant lunch conversation that is open to the entire College community. We hope that you will join  during the 24-25 academic year Out For Lunch Series

JUNE IS PRIDE MONTH!

The month of June is celebrated all around the United States as Pride Month. Locally – here in Northfield, MN there are a number of events to celebrate Pride Month which members of the St. Olaf College community are welcomed to join.

Pride in the Park 2026June 7 | 12-4PM|Central Park

This annual event is put on by the nonprofit – Northfield Pride. Pride in the Park is,  “an annual celebration held in Northfield, Minnesota, that brings together the local LGBTQIA+ community and its allies for a day of joy, inclusivity, and activism. This vibrant event takes place in Central Park and features live music, food trucks, and booths from local organizations and businesses, all celebrating the diverse spectrum of identities and expressions within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pride in the Park aims to foster a spirit of solidarity and understanding while raising awareness about LGBTQIA+ issues. It’s a family-friendly event with activities for all ages, making it a welcoming space for everyone. ”

The St. Olaf campus community is invited to participate in the 2026 Pride in the Park event. Volunteers are needed to support the the college’s participation at the event which is held in Central Park downtown Northfield. GO HERE to check out the many ways  you can participate!

Twin Cities Pride Festival 2026June 27 – 28

 The St. Olaf College community is invited to participate in the 56th Annual Twin Cities Pride Festival held on June 27 – 28, 2026 in Loring Park downtown Minneapolis. Put on by the nonprofit Twin Cities Pride this pride festival is Minnesota’s second largest festival and the largest FREE Pride festival. More details to come regarding the 2026 campus excursion to the event.
