The Taylor Center for Equity and Inclusion strives to create an environment on campus that welcomes and celebrates diversity among the spectrums of gender identity and sexuality. Whether you identify within the LGBTQIA+ community, you are currently exploring your identities, or you want to learn more about the LGBTQIA+ community, the Taylor Center is the place for you. What does LGBTQIA+ mean?

We use the term LGBTQIA+ to encompass individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. The plus sign includes gender identities and sexual orientations other than cis-gender* or heterosexual that are not listed above.

*Cis-gender: a person whose gender identity corresponds with their sex assigned at birth.
