Faculty welcome back students to the virtual classroom

Last week, students and faculty returned to their virtual classrooms to complete the remainder of the 2020 spring semester online.

All across the country, students and faculty are making the most of an unthinkable situation as the global COVID-19 pandemic has forced most states to shelter in place. Consequently, we’re also learning a lot about each other’s work-from-home spaces.

As a show of solidarity, faculty shared words of encouragement and tours of their makeshift home offices with students on the college Instagram account on Monday, April 6, the day classes resumed after an extended spring break.

More than thirty faculty members shared photos and videos of their new work-from-home classroom spaces — featuring pets, children, and inspirational objects.

Even under incredible circumstances, the Ole community continues to find ways of coming together and building understanding. View the whole Instagram story here.
