St. Olaf College | New Students

Week of June 6th, 2021

Greetings, Ole! Congratulations on your decision!

From your strong application to a big decision — here you are. We can’t wait to meet you!

We know you may be feeling all kinds of emotions about starting your St. Olaf experience — excitement, curiosity, nervousness, anxiety… No matter how you are feeling, we are here to help make your journey to the Hill as smooth as possible.

As incoming transfer students, we also recognize that your transition to the Hill is unique. Whether you feel more like a new first-year student or closer to a sophomore, junior, or senior, we are committed to your holistic success as an Ole. We will be in touch about your New Student Orientation experience throughout the summer and into the fall. To make sure that we are able to connect you to the correct resources and experiences, all incoming transfer students must register for New Student Orientation.

REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION!

To kick things off, here’s a welcome from our Director of Student Activities, Brandon Cash. Brandon is an Ole too, so he gets the St. Olaf experience. He, and the rest of our Student Life staff, are working hard to prepare campus for your arrival.

Watch Brandon’s welcome message!

Each week, you will receive an email just like this one that includes a summary of ‘to-do’s’ to focus on getting done over the week ahead. Additionally, all the information you need is available on our New Student website. Hoping to work ahead? You can always refer to the New Student Checklist to find a comprehensive list of everything you’ll need to complete before you move to the Hill. If you ever have a question if something does or does not apply to you, send us a quick email at newstudents@stolaf.edu and we’ll help you sort it out!
