Dressing up the Bible is a child-attentive, intergenerational faith formation and worship experience. Bible stories learned in Sunday School come to life through pick-up plays enacted in congregational worship. The primary actors are young children, and the whole congregation regularly participates in this interactive experience that brings the Bible stories to life.
Dressing up the Bible is being piloted by Memorial Lutheran Church and Pastor Rebecca West-Estell (r) in Toledo, Ohio. A congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Memorial Lutheran is a congregation committed to bridging God’s love to the community. Dressing Up The Bible materials will be available to all participants at the Conference on Worship, Theology, and the Arts.
