Attend a 101 Session

Before you make an appointment, attend a Study Abroad/Away 101 session.  During these sessions your explore the Smith Center website and application portal, discover helpful resources for researching available programs and understanding program costs & financial aid/scholarships, and much more.  Visit the Smith Center Event Calendar for upcoming Study Abroad/Away 101 Session dates and times.

Select the type of appointment you want…

First Time Advising: This is your first appointment with the Smith Center after you attend a Study Abroad/Away 101 Info or SOAR Session.  This is perfect for helping you find a program, clarify concepts, processes, and application timeline.

Follow-Up Advising:  If you have already met with a Smith Center Advisor to dive deeper into your program options, details, and questions/concerns.

Application Support:  Select this appointment if you need help and support with the Smith Center application or semester/year program application.

Gilman Scholarship Advising:  Meet with an advisor to learn all things Gilman (i.e. learn more about the scholarship, review your application, workshop your essay, etc.).

Non-Affiliated Transfer Credit Program Advising:  Choose this appointment if you are interested in a program not listed on the Smith Center application database.

Notary Public (Document Notarization):  Select this appointment type if you need documents notarized.
