Title: Tørrfisk: Norwegian Fish Jerky

Description: Norway has the second largest coastline of the world. With that coveted title comes a lot of fish. Fish is one of Norway's main exports and one of its treasured commodities is Tørrfisk or Stockfish (in english). Stockfish requires a lengthy drying process over the summer. This wooden structure pictured before a snowy mountain range would be filled with cod if we returned in March, but over our J-term we witnessed the start of the catching season from our fisherman cabins. Although stockfish is an acquired taste, I personally love it and the history behind it just makes the smell a little more tolerable! Location: Nusfjord, Norway
