Description: The laughing kookaburra is one of the world's largest kingfishers and quickly became a favorite amongst our group. This bird followed us throughout our journey, starting in Melbourne and ending in Brisbane, sometimes waking us up with its bizarre calls which sound like a laughing fit. This particular photo was taken at Lamington National Park at sunrise.
