The SophoMORE Symposium is an experience tailored specifically for St. Olaf sophomore students to help unlock everything else the second year on the Hill can offer as you kickstart your spring semester!
This is your symposium.
Why should you attend the Symposium? Because it has been built with you in mind. Here are just a few of the elements we’ve designed to help you flourish through and beyond your Sophomore year at St. Olaf:
CORE CONTENT
Built off of the five focus areas within the Sophomore Experience, the SophoMORE Symposium is built around five interactive workshops. Core sessions cover a range of topics, all providing attendees with tangible tools to augment their St. Olaf experience.
TEAM TIME
Symposium attendees will be grouped by academic interest, for activities and conversations. Led by team mentors, team time is curated to help attendees transition the knowledge and tools collected in core sessions from ideas to action.
ALUMNI TOUCHPOINTS
Attendees will have multiple opportunities to hear from and connect with St. Olaf alumni with varied campus and post-college experiences. Through keynotes and socials, alumni connections are a core focus of the Symposium.
SOPHOMORE CONNECTIONS
The Symposium is constructed to provide meaningful and fun ways for sophomores to come together. From wellness activities to sophomore-exclusive events, the Symposium is built on fostering connections.
