Purpose of Procedures:
To ensure that students have paid their past due balances before registering for classes or receiving their diploma.
Who needs to know these Procedures:
Former students with a past due institutional loan or account balance.
Procedures:
Past due institutional loans and account balances will be written off if they are determined to be uncollectible. This does not eliminate the legal obligation to pay the debt or prevent the college from pursuing further collection efforts. If your account balance has been written off, a hold will be placed on your account. This hold will prevent further registration and the release of a diploma. To have the hold removed, you must pay your account in full. If you have questions or need help submitting a payment, please reach out to repayment@stolaf.edu.
