The St. Olaf Educational Talent Search Program is funded to serve 700 students per year.

  • Increased high school graduation rate:  92% of St. Olaf TRIO ETS students graduate from high school. In 2014, Minneapolis had a 59% graduation rate and St. Paul had a 76% graduation rate. (Source:  Minnesota Department of Education)
  • Increased the number of students enrolled in postsecondary education:  70% of St. Olaf TRIO ETS students enroll in a postsecondary programIn 2015, the low-income college participation rate in Minnesota was 48%. (Source: Postsecondary Education OPPORTUNITY Newsletter – Number 266, August 2014)
  • Increased the number of students who continue postsecondary programs:  Of the St. Olaf TRIO ETS students who graduated from high school, 39% completed a postsecondary degree or certificate within 6 years.  In Minnesota, 29% of low-income, high school graduates completed a degree or certificate within 6 years. (Source: Minnesota SLEDS – sleds.mn.gov)
