Undergraduate Research and Internship
Description: The St. Olaf Collaborative Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (CURI) program provides opportunities for St. Olaf students from all academic disciplines to gain an in-depth understanding of a particular subject through working closely with a St. Olaf faculty member in a research framework.
The program’s goal is to promote and facilitate undergraduate research in all its forms by supporting students and faculty with various research opportunities during both the summer and the academic year, and by providing funding for students to present the results of their research at conferences or in other appropriate venues.
Eligibility: Enrolled at least half-time at an accredited U.S. college/university
Submission: Application begins in mid-November
Description: Summer programs at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) provide an opportunity to spend a summer working at the NIH side-by-side with some of the leading scientists in the world, in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research.
Eligibility: Sophomore or Junior undergraduate student enrolled in a four year college with a GPA of 3.0/4.0
Submission: Deadline is February 1
Description: The Mayo Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program, sponsored by Mayo Graduate School, is a great way to build your skills as a young scientist or test your inclinations toward research.
