The online project Dear Data is a year-long, analog data drawing project by Geiorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, two award-winning information designers living on different sides of the Atlantic. By collecting and hand drawing their personal data and sending it to each other in the form of postcards, they became friends.
Professor Paul Roback brought “Dear Data” to the classroom in MSCS 389 (MSCS Research Methods) in Fall 2018. The students from the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (CIR) in that class created their own “Dear Data” postcards, illustrating one aspect of their lives over one week. Please see below the creative ways they found to display data.
