Project Description
The HiPerCiC (High-Performance Computing in Context) initiative creates custom web applications to support professors in their specific scholarly research and/or teaching. The creation of a convenient user interface and the potential of today’s high-performance computing combine to make it feasible to explore research possibilities in a given field that were previously impractical.
During the summer of 2017, the HiPerCiC team of CURI student researchers worked on digital humanities projects with the support of the DHH grant. This was as part of a larger effort to extend and improve the core software used by all HiPerCiC applications. Digital humanities-related programming included projects in Archaeology, Dance, Music and Theater.
