The Curriculum Committee approved the following resolutions on March 17, 2022:
- Students in the Class of 2024 seeking Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees may petition the Registrar to reduce the minimum total credits required for graduation from 35 credits to a minimum of 33 credits. Students seeking a waiver must submit with their request a brief explanation of the reasons that the circumstances of Fall 2020 impeded or may impede their timely progress toward the degree. This petition must be turned in to the Registrar no later than Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
- For the graduating Classes of 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, the Registrar has the authority, while adhering to the minimum Minnesota State standards, to make adjustments to overall degree requirements including credit limits, General Education/OLE Core requirements, and Major/Concentration requirements. Students seeking a waiver must submit with their request a brief explanation of the reasons that the circumstances of January Term 2021 and/or January Term 2022 impeded or may impede their timely progress toward the degree. This petition must be turned in to the Registrar no later than Tuesday, May 17, 2022 for the Class of 2022 and Tuesday, May 16, 2023 for the Class of 2023. For the classes of 2024 and 2025, the deadline to submit the petition is the last day of classes during the spring semester of 2024 or 2025, respectively.
