Moving Into the Residence Halls

Residence Life is excited to welcome you to your new home at St. Olaf.  Moving into a residence hall marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in your college experience, whether you’re a first-year student or returning to campus. Our staff is here to assist you with your transition, ensuring a smooth move-in process.

Saturday, August 30th New Student Move-in
Sunday, August 31st – Wednesday, September 3 Returning Students Move-in
Monday, September 1st Transfer Student Move-in
Thursday, September 4th First Day of Class
*The arrival and departure dates for semester are standard for all students in the housing portal. All students should follow the dates on the website for their arrival and departure. Arrivals and departures outside of those dates on the website are approved through formal requests. The requests are made through applications within each student’s housing portal.
