Move In Week is September 3 – September 9, 2026
The Early Arrival program is designed to help students who cannot participate in our scheduled Move In Week. Students approved for early arrival due to domestic or international travel or other extenuating circumstances will be charged a fee for each day they stay prior to the official moveāin date. Please make sure to read over details below regarding our Early Arrival Process.
Approved Early Arrival Reasons
Participating in College Program:
Students who are participating in an approved college program and need to arrive back to campus early for training, orientation, or other program-related requirements and commitments.
Participating in College Athletics:
Students who are a part of a Fall College athletic team and need to be back on campus early for Fall Training. Please make sure to connect with your coaches about arrival dates and expectations.
Domestic or International Travel:
Students who are flying into Minnesota and may need to arrive before Move In Week. Students must provide a copy of their flight itinerary for early arrival approval and processing.
Extenuating Circumstances:
There may be reasons outside of the student’s control that would require an early move-in. Cases are reviewed individually and students should not plan their trip to campus until approved.
Please note: The Residence Life Office works with College Programs and Athletics to confirm participation. Students who are not a part of these programs will be denied early arrival approval.
