The Early Drop-off Program allows First-Year students to place their belongings into their designated residence hall room before Move-in Weekend. Students are not able to set-up their rooms. Registration is required for Early Drop-off and First-Year students are automatically approved.
Returning Student can request for Early Drop-off and are approved on a case by case situation. Students interested in this opportunity, please read over the information below.

Follow the Steps Below:
Students interested in the Early Drop Off program should sign up using the Fall 2026 Early Drop Off Application on your Housing Portal.
Select “Applications” from the left-hand menu options
Select “Fall 2026 Early Drop Off” to complete the application
Select your appointment time.
This is an opportunity for students who are not a part of an Early Arrival program but will be arriving to Northfield the night before Move In Weekend.
Students will sign up for a Drop Off timeslot between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm.
Students approved for Early Drop Off will arrive at their Residence Hall at their approved time. Residence Life Staff will unlock the room door to allow you to place your belongings in your room. Once you are done, Staff will re-lock your door.
This is not an opportunity for you to set up your room. You will be able to set up your room when you Check In on Move-in Day, Thursday, September 3.

Students and Families who participate in Early Drop Off will return to campus on Move-in Day. If you have not already, log into your housing portal and sign-up for a move-in time slot.
