Check-In
Please check in at registration in the Buntrock Commons to receive your housing assignment.
If you arrive after 10 p.m. and you are staying in a residence hall, please check-in at the front desk of the residence hall assigned to your class year to locate your room number. In the morning, please visit Guest Services in Buntrock Commons to receive your lanyard.
- Keys are not issued, so please leave your valuables at home.
- The main doors to the residence halls will be open 7 a.m.–midnight.
- Front desk attendants in each hall are available to open the door until 1 a.m.
- After 1 a.m., call Public Safety at 507-786-3666 for access to your residence hall.
Housing Description
Most rooms are furnished with two single beds. If you register alone, no one else will be assigned to your room. Bed linens (a pillow, sheets, and a blanket), towels and a washcloth are furnished are available for an additional fee and requested at the time of your registration.
For your added comfort, you may wish to bring:
- your own set of sheets (XL twin)
- an extra towel
- fleece blanket (Note that the rooms in Ytterboe may be cool, and you may wish to bring an extra blanket)
- hangers
- alarm clock
- fan
- hair dryer
- reading light
Alcohol Policy
Alcohol is only allowed in designated areas and must be purchased from St. Olaf. Lanyards will be issued at check-in, and guests under 21 will be given a wristband. Lanyards and wristbands are required to access meal and entertainment venues during the weekend. St. Olaf reserves the right to ID any guest at any time when serving or selling alcoholic beverages.
Roommates
- If you register with another guest, you will be housed together, unless otherwise indicated.
- If you do not register with another guest you will be housed in an individual room.
- If you indicate a roommate preference, that person must also indicate you as a roommate in order to be housed together.
Pets on Campus Grounds
We request that you do not bring any animals other than service animals. Pets are not permitted in the residence halls.
