Campus Housing

In order to make this a very special weekend and help bring back memories of your college days, our office has hired student staff to prepare various rooms in campus residence halls for your stay and your comfort. Our goal is to provide a pleasant on campus housing experience at an affordable price. Each class has been assigned a particular residence hall. Hall lounges will be available for informal gatherings.

The cost is $40 per person per night.

Housing Description

Most rooms are furnished with two single beds. If you register alone, no one else will be assigned to your room. Bed linens (a pillow, sheets, and a blanket), towels, and a wash cloth are furnished. For your added comfort, you may wish to bring an extra towel, a blanket, hangers, an alarm clock, a fan, a hair dryer, and a reading light. Note that the rooms in Ytterboe may be cool, and you may wish to bring an extra blanket.

There will not be an extra charge for young children who share their parents’ room; however, they will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow (this option is not available for adults). If you need a separate room for your children, you will be charged $40 per child per night. Bathrooms are not located in individual rooms. Floor bathrooms will be designated for men only or women only.

  • Keys are not issued, so please leave your valuables at home.
  • The main doors to the residence halls will be open 7 a.m.–midnight.
  • Front desk attendants in each hall are available to open the door until 2 a.m.
  • After 2 a.m., call Public Safety at 507-786-3666 for access to your residence hall.

The campus-wide policy on alcohol is in effect for all St. Olaf buildings, residence halls, and campus areas, with the exceptions of class dinner locations and the evening entertainment areas in the Pause, and the Mellby Lawn Tent.

Roommates

  • If you register together with another guest, you will be housed together, unless otherwise indicated.
  • If you do not register with another guest and you did not indicate a roommate, you will be housed in a single.
  • If you indicate a roommate preference, that person must also indicate you as a roommate in order to be housed together.

Pets on Campus Grounds

We request that you do not bring any animals other than service animals. Pets are not permitted in the residence halls.
