Description: This photo was taken on a trip to the Jordan River, just outside of Amman, Jordan. On the last day of our trip to Jordan during the Global Semester, this was a rather quiet and reflective excursion. Much of the structures in the area have stood since Biblical times, and hold religious significance. We admired the river running through the desert as reflected on the history of the area, and what it means for us to be here now. This photo shows both the modern life in the area, the strong historic remains, and the strength of the natural aspects.
