Description: For class one day in the Monteverde Cloud Forest of Costa Rica, our professor led us on a hike to the top of the continental divide dividing Costa Rica into the Pacific and Caribbean sides. This was the most treacherous hike of my life with only the view at the top pushing the group ahead. At the climax of the hike was nothing but a 360-degree view of a wall of clouds. We couldn't see anything beyond the top but fortunately, that did not take away from the stunning biodiversity of plants and bugs in the forest itself, which we got to experience both on the climb and descend.
