Student Payroll Webpage Student employees are paid bi-weekly. Click here to view pay dates, tax information, and Oracle instructions.

Student Information System (SIS) View Pay Statements through Dec. 29, 2023 in SIS. Once logged-in, click "Financials" then "Pay Stubs". To view statements starting in 2024, use Oracle.

Oracle Time & Absence Students use Oracle to log their hours. Hours should be logged after each shift.

Standard (Academic Year 2023-2024 – Summer 2024)

$11.25/hr – Entry-Level: All jobs and roles that are entry-level and require only basic skills to perform tasks.

$11.75/hr – Mid-Level: All jobs and roles that require some level of experience or skill above entry-level positions. These roles require higher level skills and/or include supervisory or leadership responsibilities.

$12.25/hr – High-Level: All jobs and roles that require a higher level of experience and/or skills beyond mid-level positions. These positions are supervisory, managerial, and/or top leadership positions.

Food Services Base Pay (Including Pause Food Services Roles)

$13.00/hr – Entry-Level: All frontline food services jobs or entry-level food services jobs. Bon Appetit and Lion’s Pause Food Services

$14.00/hr – Mid-Level: All food services jobs that are more labor-intensive in nature and/or require some level of supervision or leadership. Bon Appetit and Lion’s Pause Food Services

$15.00/hr – High-Level: All food services jobs that are supervisory and/or leadership-oriented. Bon Appetit and Lion’s Pause Food Services

There are two ways of getting paid:

Apply earnings towards your student account
Direct deposit

To make your choice or to change your payment method:

Fill out the Payment Authorization Form (must be submitted through the secure document exchange using your St. Olaf email). If you choose direct deposit and do not have an actual voided check to attach to the form, contact your financial institution for the correct bank information.
If you close your bank account, you must notify the Payroll Office right away.

NOTE: Hours worked will be paid after they have been submitted by the student and approved by the supervisor.

Students may need to work more than one position to earn their full work award. Be sure to let your current supervisor know that you are looking for more hours. If he or she does not have any additional hours available, here are further suggestions:

If you would like to work for a particular department, go there and ask to speak with the individual who supervises student employees. Making this personal contact is often the best way to secure employment.
Keep an eye on the Student Career Marketplace
Contact the Student Employment Specialist via email or by visiting the Office of Human Resources, Tomson 180. Your name will then be added to a list of students who are seeking employment. You will be notified of opportunities as they arise.
