The Annual Grose Family Lecture Series is the Taylor Center’s signature LGBTQIA+ event annually which focuses on LGBTQIA+ public policy and brings to campus a noted and outstanding LGBTQIA+ individuals to give a keynote address during LGBTQIA+ History month in October.
The Lecture aims to amplify the voices of LGBTQIA+ students and the community bringing attention to public policies and issues that affect this community with careful attention to the issues faced by the transgender community.

The Fifth Annual Grose Family LGBTQIA+ Lecture Series is scheduled for October 21, 2026 as part of the celebration of LGBTQIA+ History Month; and has the theme: Dimensions of Belonging: LGBTQIA+ Families Across Race, Adoption and Migration.
This year’s theme focuses on the LGBTQIA+ Family within the community, examining how public policies on race, adoption, and immigration impact their sense of belonging. The Grose Lecture Series is co-sponsored by the Taylor Center (TC) for Equity and Inclusion and the Department of Race, Ethnic, Gender and Sexuality Studies (REGGS).
