The Lion’s Pantry Program is aimed at alleviating stress caused by food insecurity across campus. Limited transportation and financial barriers are just two variables that impact students’ ability to access these basic needs.
The Lion’s Pantry Program works to reduce and remove these barriers with a combination of funding from St Olaf donors and the Hunger Free Campus (HFC) Grant through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.
Steve Lindley (lindley@stolaf.edu) oversees the HFC Grant Contract and overall budget while Brisa Zubia (bzubia@stolaf.edu) administers the grant and supervises the student workers who run the day-to-day operations.

The Lion’s Pantry is located in Ytterboe 044 during the academic year!
All St. Olaf students are invited to utilize this resource. We only ask that students be respectful and take only the items they need for a 2-3 day time-frame. This resource is not meant to provide bulk supplies to students. Students can visit as many times as needed.
Each student who visits is also REQUIRED to fill out the post-survey so we can track inventory and make sure we are providing items that students find useful.
Students are welcome to bring a reusable bag to the space, but there are no required items to bring.
During each break, Bon App provides 2 meals for students free of charge. Please refer to your St. Olaf email and their website for more information about picking up these meals.
