We add our welcome and congratulations to you and your soon-to-be-Ole as you continue your St. Olaf experience.
More than anything, we want you to know that this St. Olaf experience is not just your child’s. Take part in the college community – whether it’s visiting your child’s residence hall room or attending an event – all are welcome.
The Office of Alumni & Parent Relations works hard to create opportunities for alumni and parents to engage with the St. Olaf community. In cities across the world, we collaborate with local volunteers to put forth nearly 150 events. Some are social; some are networking-based; others are fun and enjoyable; a few are serious and thought-provoking. You are invited to all of them. A full listing of events is available at www.stolaf.edu/alumni/events.
Additionally, we invite you to make plans to come back to the Hill for some special family events. Over the weekend of October 4-6, 2013, the college celebrates Homecoming & Family Weekend. Guests can take part in classes with their students, run a morning 5K, go to athletic events, music concerts, and engage in many parts of the St. Olaf community. Please plan to attend. Details are available at www.stolaf.edu/alumni/homecoming.
If you haven’t heard about the college’s famous Christmas Festival, now you certainly will. Set as the beginning of the Advent Season, Christmas Festival will take place December 5-8, 2013. All concert and ticket information is available at www.stolaf.edu/christmasfest.
Please know that you are welcome to be in touch with the college’s staff whenever you have concerns or questions. If you do not know whom to call, please feel free to start with the Alumni and Parent Relations Office. If we are not able to answer your questions, we’ll connect you to the appropriate staff.
We hope you enjoy your St. Olaf experience and We get the chance to meet you in person soon.
Um! Yah! Yah!
