Admitted Student Day Programs
The April 6 and April 13 Admitted Student Day programs are very similar each day (same session offerings, some different panelists and presenters). The day begins with check-in at the Buntrock Commons Crossroads and breakfast in Stav Hall. The formal program begins in Boe Memorial Chapel at 9 a.m. The day includes a variety of information sessions by faculty, staff, and students, plus lunch and campus tours. The program ends around 3 p.m. More detailed information about the program will be available in late March.
Campus and Class Visits Prior to Admitted Student Days
Many admitted students and their guests (usually one or two family members) elect to visit campus the Friday before Admitted Student Day. On Friday, students may go on a student led campus tour, have a conversation with an Admissions Officer, attend a class, and meet with a Financial Aid Counselor and enjoy a meal in Stav Hall. We are eager to assist in crafting a schedule that meets your needs for Friday, April 5 (before the Admitted Student Day 1 Program) or Friday, April 12 (before the Admitted Student Day 2 Program). Please use the registration links above to schedule a visit and indicate what you would like to do while on campus. If you wish to attend a class, please plan to arrive on campus in the morning.
Overnight Visits for Admitted Student Days
Please plan to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and necessary personal items. Ideally we ask that you plan to arrive between 5 and 7 p.m. (if the Friday overnight visit is your first event on Friday); doing so allows you to meet your host for dinner. If you are already on campus earlier in the day, we will schedule your meeting with the overnight host accordingly. Please submit your request for a Friday overnight visit no later than March 29 (for the April 6 Admitted Student Day 1 Program) or April 5 (for the April 13 Admitted Student Day 2 Program).
*Family members or other guests who would like overnight accommodations in or near Northfield can find hotel information here.
Reception for Parents
Friday, April 5, and Friday, April 12
Parents of admitted students are cordially invited to meet other parents of admitted students and members of the college’s senior leadership team at a special reception in St. Paul, Minnesota. We will host two events, one prior to each Admitted Student Day, Friday, April 5, or Friday, April 12. Please join us from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Saint Paul Hotel located at 350 Market Street in St. Paul, MN, just 10 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and about 45 miles north of the St. Olaf campus. Please register for this reception either on the Admitted Student Day registration form or click HERE.
